The fitness industry has changed - and 1-to-1 personal training isn’t cutting it anymore. Here’s why, and how Club 300’s coaching model is leading the way in helping busy professionals finally get lasting results.
If you’ve been around the gym scene for a while, you’ve probably noticed it too - personal training just isn’t what it used to be.
And honestly, that’s a good thing.
Let me explain.
When I first started out as a PT back in 2015, I worked out of PureGym.
Back then, “PT” was barely a thing.
We had to work free hours just to be allowed on the gym floor, and most sessions were made up on the spot.
No plans, no accountability and no structure.
I still remember one of the busiest trainers - the one everyone looked up to - admitting five minutes before a session that he hadn’t planned anything.
It blew my mind.
He was meant to be the best coach in the gym… and he was completely winging it.
That moment stuck with me.
Even as the industry evolved, something always felt off.
Clients were paying £400+ a month for two sessions a week - and still left to fend for themselves the rest of the time.
If they missed a session because of traffic, work, or family life? Tough luck… that’s just the way it was.
It worked fine for the few who could afford the time and money - but for most busy people, it wasn’t realistic.
And because of that, people were burning out, quitting, or feeling like failures… when really, it was the model that was broken.
You see, most people don’t need more fancy equipment or another app that counts steps.
What they actually need is…
Accountability – someone checking in, not just counting reps.
Support – real guidance when life gets messy.
Structure – a plan that adapts, not something that breaks when you miss a session.
Community – people around you who actually care whether you show up.
That’s why we built Club 300 the way we did.
We call it our Five Pillars of Coaching - and it’s the backbone of everything we do.
Daily Coached Sessions – 70+ a week you can move around your schedule.
Personalised Plan – built around your goals and reviewed every 12 weeks.
Accountability – through your Success Coach, who’s one message away when life goes sideways.
Education – we teach you the why so you stay in control long-term.
Community – the real secret weapon; training partners, friendships, and energy that make showing up easy.
You don’t lose sessions when something disrupts your day… you simply rebook for the next session.
You don’t get left in the dark because, you’ve alwasy got your Results Roadmap to keep you clear.
You don’t have to do it alone, you’ve not only got a Success coach in your corner but a full community of people on the same journey as you.
In my opinion, the old PT model is fading out.
People are done paying for someone to “watch them exercise.”
The future of fitness is coaching…
Support that stretches beyond the gym floor.
Flexibility for real lives.
Community that keeps you consistent and makes working out enjoyable.
It’s not about going fast - it’s about going far.
And as that old proverb says:
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
That’s what Club 300 is built on.
If this hit a nerve - or you’ve ever felt burned by a coach before - I break it all down in this week’s Fat-Loss in 15 episode:

Coaching should make fitness simpler, not harder.
It should fit around life - not take it over.
That’s what we’re trying to lead with at Club 300.
